Mike packed his bags (he is not known as a light traveler) and headed cross-country to meet prospective startup companies. He held wall-to-wall meetings to get to know the people behind the ideas and to examine the innovative technology scene. He came away feeling that the industry has a lot of quality minds and ideas, but that the quantity isn’t there yet. This being said, he felt that Rogers Ventures could help bring the other great people and ideas out of the woodwork.

Mike, a University of Toronto grad, believes that the proper innovation and entrepreneurial environment has to be established in order for Canada’s technology sector to grow. He wants Rogers Ventures to help build this environment where Canada can achieve sustained success as an industry and thought leader.
